I don’t like insurance, I’ve always thought it was like betting against yourself. That said, a lot of people buy insurance all over the world for various reasons. Car Insurance Down Under, Fire insurance stateside, theft & liability insurance someplace else.
One place selling insurance online is 1Cover, their site is pretty straightforward. As with any business that actually wants to make sales, they make it pretty clear what they’re selling and how to contact them. They have the "instant quote" feature that people have come to expect and what I think is a toll free phone number (what can I say? I know absolutely squat about Australian phone numbers) for making a claim.
