A Peculiar Blog

Genesis 1:1 starts out "In the beginning God
created the heaven and the earth."

This being the first entry in this category I thought it was only
appropriate to think about beginnings. A beginning is where something
has it’s roots. It can also be thought of as a foundation or starting
place.

For the Christian there can only be one starting place, God.

If we’re going to please God at all, we need to know His word and His
will, so we should start with prayer, taking time out to not only talk
with God, but more importantly to listen to Him. We also need to read
and study the word of God.

All of us need to start the day seeking God and His will. If we do not
start with that foundation, we’ll soon find we have nothing to stand on
at all.
