Here’s something that’s a bit different. Big
Web Links Bid Directory  .
It looks very much like any number of directory sites but it has one
difference. Instead of sorting entries by their pagerank, alphabetically
or how popular they are, this one sorts them by how much you contribute
to it. If you want to be listed on the front page all you need to do is
place a high enough bid and your page will be listed in the top ten
listings on the homepage and in the top twenty listings on the links
page.
