It’s back in the news again, this thing with the really high level of violence. Seems that they faced the chance of having it rated Adults Only. Since that would have killed the game’s sales, they’re working on a “toned down” version.
Controversial Game Gets New Rating
The makers of “Manhunt 2″ - a violent video game that had been threatened with a sales-destroying adults-only rating - will release a toned-down version in October.
The initial version, in which gamers perform a series of killing moves as an amnesiac scientist who escapes from an asylum, had been scheduled for a July release.
Of course, they’re not bothering to tell what exactly they mean by “toned down” and then there’s the fact that the whole premise of the game is offensive and just plain evil
