It seems only a day or two ago I noticed and posted about the first mention of possible troop cutbacks. Now here’s where the other shoe drops. According to the GAO is announcing that Baghdad has failed to meet 11 out of 18 goals, which of course translates to “we ain’t sending anyone home just yet.”

GAO: BAGHDAD FAILING TO MEET MOST GOALS

Baghdad has not met 11 of its 18 political and security goals, according to a new
independent report on Iraq that challenges President Bush’s assessment of the war.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the government would get it’s collective acts together on the same page? Oh, wait. What am I saying? how silly of me.
