What Do Your Works Say?

Titus 1:16, “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

Does this describe you? Saying that you know God but the way you act and the things you do make it clear that you either don’t know Him at all or at least are not paying any attention to Him?

I know I’ve been in this situation myself more than once. The good news is that if we admit to God that this is what we’ve been doing and turn away from that behavior and back to what He wants us to be doing then He’ll gladly forgive us and accept our return.

Very much like the story of the prodigal son. The father was more than willing to accept the return of his son when he repented and turned back to his father. God is also ready to accept us when we repent and turn back to Him.
