That’s right. The North Korean leader called himself an “Internet Expert” during summit talks with South Korea this week. It came when the South Korean leader asked that a South Korean company operating in a North Korean city be allowed to use the Internet. Kim Jong Il replied
“I’m an Internet expert too. It’s all right to wire the industrial zone only, but there are many problems if other regions of the North are wired,”
Aside from the fact that he’s no more an Internet expert that a drugged out loser in desperate need of addiction treatment, it’s also obvious that he’s afraid of allowing just anyone there to have Internet access… because they’d end up being able to get news and information that wasn’t controlled by the state.
