*Another* Toy Recall

Y’know I think that there’s been more of these recalls in just the last year than have shown up in the news in the five years preceding.

175,000 CURIOUS GEORGE DOLLS RECALLED

About 175,000 Curious George Plush Dolls were recalled, becoming the latest popular
toy made in China found to be contaminated with dangerous levels of lead. Many parents
are rethinking their holiday gift plans - making a list and checking it twice.

What’s really special is all these things with the lead contamination are products made for kids. Anybody getting the idea that there’s maybe more to this than a bunch of incompetents? I know it’s really looking to me like something screwy is going on here. After all, what in the world is a plush doll doing with lead in it? Does some brain farm over there have the idea that it’s some kind of soft bumpy weight equipment or what?
