As I understand it several years ago Ask Jeeves did get some of its sponsored results from Google. However I don’t believe that’s been the case for some time, especially since they changed from “Ask Jeeves” to simply “Ask”. In any event you should use whatever search tool does the job for you.

The main idea is to use things that are NOT google.

Isn’t ask.com part of the Google network or at least powered by Google? I think I’ll switch back to Yahoo or Alta Vista. If I’m trying to find something really tricky then I usually get what I want in Yahoo.
