I’ve noticed that the 3D movie fad is back on the rise again.  This seems to happen every 15 or 20 years and every time it turns out to be a bad idea.  This time is no exception.

For one thing, I have YET to see a 3D movie that looked good at all.  You see, I wear glasses and that means that wearing those damnable “3D glasses” along with them doesn’t work for me at all.  The ONLY thing they do is give me a headache while I’m trying to focus two off-center images together to get the 3D image that everybody else gets to see.

Removing my regular glasses is not an option if I am to be able to see ANYTHING at all so that means the whole thing is a complete waste of time and money.

What I would like to see happen is for somebody to finally develop a practical holographic video system.  THAT kind of 3d I don’t think anybody would have a problem with.

In the meantime I’ll be staying with the 2D versions of those “3D” movies and if they can’t be bothered to make a 2D version of a title then I guess I won’t bother with it at all.

Hollywood is obviously populated almost entirely by idiots.
