No matter how much time goes by it sees very much like certain things will still be going on in familiar cycles. For example, take the latest bunch of go-rounds between Bush & Putin over a missile defense system. One day people are talking and making nice, the next thing you know it’s their collective ability to get along and cooperate is taking political weight loss pills and all but disappearing.
BUSH, PUTIN REMAIN APART ON MISSILE PLAN
American and Russian leaders failed to resolve their differences over a U.S. missile defense system at a farewell meeting, with Mr. Bush saying the system is not aimed at Russia but at regimes that “could try to hold us hostage.”
This whole thing reminds me of the SALT talks in the 1970’s. As I recall, I don’t think they REALLY got much done then either. Oh, they got a treaty or two signed, which lasted about what? a few weeks at best?

Well this is happening from long time. Both blame each other for that doesnt come to a understanding and resolve the matter for the betterment of their respective countries.
That’s the way of it though isn’t it? Politics isn’t so much about doing the best thing for your country as it is keeping your position/power/money/etc..
Yah, this cycle of drama and non-action reminds me of the Yahoo Microsoft thing…. always hitting the news, but it’s never for actually DOING anything… just talking, no action.
