Welcome To My Food Nightmare

September 30th, 2008

Have you ever had a food nightmare? Sorta like the old joke about dreaming you’re eating a giant marshmallow and waking up to discover your pillow is missing? How about having one while awake? I think I’ve just had one.

More Linking Nonsense

September 27th, 2008

Recently I wrote about the story of Jennifer Reisinger, a web designer who was hit with a takedown notice because she has a Link to the Sheboygan Police Department on her website, Brat City Web Design. It seems that this isn’t the only case of ridiculous legal action over hypertext links.

Not too long ago we heard all about how HD-DVD had lost the format war with Sony’s Blu-Ray and stopped fighting. The high ups at Sony were predicting that Blu-Ray would have a 50% market share by the end of 2008. Unfortunately for them things don’t seem to be going the way they thought.

In a move that shows very clearly that somebody at Nielson obviously doesn’t have all of their cards shuffled just right, they’ve hit Wikipedia with a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DCMA) takedown notice forcing Wikipedia to remove over 300 pages.

September 25th, 2008

David Blaine has completed yet another one of his “every-one-is-more-dangerous-than-the-last-one” stunts.. this time hanging upside down by his ankles for 60 hours. My opinion is that what he really wants is to find a way to die in front of a lot of people, preferably on live television.

65 MPG Ford Not To Be Sold In US

September 21st, 2008

The rolling and screaming BS that the “Big Oil” companies and OPEC have been putting us through for the last several years has taken away something from our culture. As most (if not all) Americans are thoroughly familiar with our great love affair with the car.

It’s no surprise to anyone I think that the economy is going from highs to lows and back again almost as if it had overdosed on diet pills or something.

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!I’ve been thinking lately about running contests on this (and a few other) blogs and the one thing I keep running up against is the problem of prizes. What sort of things make worthwhile prizes on what I can [...]
