The fact that questions like this even get asked make it clear that an
awful lot of people don’t know very much about the soul and even less
about cloning.

Putting it simply, a cloned human would be genetically identical to the
person that was cloned, however they would be a completely separate
individual and NOT an extension of the cloned person. This is why
something like cloning someone and using the clone’s organs for
transplants could never be allowed, because it would be murder.
