This is seriously ridiculous Now that they’ve admitted that they’ve
managed to ship uinits with Trojans, they really should step up and not
only warn users, but offer a solution like replacement units.

TomTom
Admits Satnav Device Infected With Virus

miserableles writes "TomTom has admitted to a UK security journalist
that a number of GO 910 satellite navigation units shipped with two
Trojans installed on the hard drive. But still no sign of an official
warning on the TomTom website."

And by the way, don’t you love the wonderfully vague "a number"?
Obviously it’s "a number", the big question is WHAT
number!

And on a strictly personal opinion note, "TomTom" really needs a name
that doesn’t sound like you’re talking to a five year old kid.
