Judge OK’s Virginia’s Challenge of Obama Health Care Law

August 3rd, 2010 | Posted in Current Events, News, Opinion, Politics | 1 Comment

I just saw some good news for a change.  US District Judge Henry Hudson has rejected the federal government’s motion to dismiss Virginia’s suit that questions the constitutionality of Obama’s health care law.

I realize that this is only a very first step and that the case has a LONG way to go yet but there is now at least some hope that it will be at the root of removing that law.

The idea that the government can require someone by law to buy something, in this case insurance, that they may or may not want or be able to afford is crap.

In related news, November 2nd, 2010 is coming up.  Remember to go to the polls and take out the trash!

  1. It should be very interesting to see how this ends up.  I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t even begin to guess.
