I’m beginning to think that there might be some kind of connection between how often it rains around here and the frequency of “Bob Sightings” and associated rumors.

I say that because for the last several weeks the weather has been hot and dry and over the same time period the number of rumors I’ve seen about Bob was at what I have to call and all time low.

Just as soon as the rain started up and the weather cooled off a little bit I started seeing a lot more of these rumors and “Bob sightings”.  Coincidence?  Maybe but this is not the first time I’ve noticed this trend.

The latest one appeared the same day we had a thunderstorm last week.  It is very typical of such rumors, claiming that Bob has done something unfathomable.  In this case he has reportedly ordered 237 steel buildings that the anonymous source of the rumor claims he is going to have built in a currently empty field on the outskirts of New York City.

As usual the source doesn’t explain why he would do this or where he would get the money to pay for all of that hardware and the work crews to assemble them.

The rumor is, in fact, entirely ridiculous yet in spite of that there are evidently plenty of people willing to spread it anyway.  Some are even taking it deadly serious, suggesting that he is somehow up to something nefarious with all of those steel buildings.

Just what universe that makes sense in I have no idea.
