Loan Terminology Confusion
College loans student
loans and more loans. Financial terminology may well be the death of
many a dream. For instance I ran across something recently that said
that "Sallie Mae loans"
make a good option for just about anyone looking for a student loan. My
question is simply: What does that mean?
Just for the heck of it I took a look at premierstudentloan.com, a site
whose focus is on New
Jersey student loans and Connecticut
student loans. As it turns out Sallie Mae Loans is actually a
provider of private loans when the way the term was used sounded very
much like it was a type of loan instead of one from a particular outfit.
Apparently they also offer a variety of other kinds of student loans
from federal to consolidation.
Y’know, I think that it’d be a great idea if things like this weren’t so
complicated.
