One of the things that affect not only your PageRank but also your potential for incoming traffic is the number of incoming links to your site.

There’s a few tools you can use to find out where your links are coming from.  One of them is http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker

You enter your url on the form and it gives you a report with the number of links it found to that url and then lists each url along with it’s pagerank, displayed 50 links per page

On http://backlinkwatch.com/, you get a list of urls with links to yours, the anchor text used, the PageRank of the url the link is coming from, the number of outbound links on that page and any special notes like if there’s a nofollow tag on the link.

Then there’s http://www.google.com/webmasters/, This tool can show you all of the links to your site that Google knows about.
