This story in itself is a very good example of why it’s a good idea to be aware of your privacy options when surfing around the web.  Little things like what cookies are allowed to be set and how long they’ll exist.  How about your browser’s history?  What sites have you visited recently?

All these things can be used to either track your current activities in the case of cookies or if you allow javascript, active-x or flash to run in your browser these technologies have the potential to be used to reveal this information.  For example I once saw a page that used a javascript trick to show the last 10 or so urls that you were at.
