I read recently that the O.J. Simpson case has gained more momentum with the arrest of a third suspect.  Obviously somebody, perhaps several somebodies are guilty of some clearly stupid stuff, but I can’t help wondering why it is that something like this is getting so much press.

Seriously.  When you strip this case down to it’s nuts and bolts it’s a pretty simple case.  There are thousands of similar cases like it all over the country every day and yet this one gets major airtime on just about every news outlet.

I wonder how much of it is because the person under arrest is O.J. Simpson and how much of it is simply because this gives the general public something to focus on that will keep their attention away from more important things?
