President Bush has vetoed the bill that would have expanded a children’s health insurance program.  Now the Congress is getting geared up to attempt to override the veto.

President Bush has vetoed a bill expanding a popular children’s health insurance
program, setting up an override battle with Congress.

This is not exactly what I’d call a wonderful time for a politician to decide to keep his word.  I’m not going to try to make it sound like this bill is ideal or anything like that but it is an attempt to address a very important issue and to just slam down a veto is, at the very least, unproductive.
