Pakistan had a Presidential election Saturday and to hear his side tell things, he won by an overwhelming majority because he got 671 votes and the leading opposition guy only got 8 votes.  That’s out of 1170 people that were eligible to vote in the first place.  (apparently this voting is only lawmakers, not a popular vote like we do.) On the one hand he’s got a clear lead in the number of votes, on the other hand the reason he has so few votes cast against him is that the opposition boycotted the vote.  Now there’s a lot of uncertainty about what’s going to happen next.  If their supreme court rules against him will he just politely walk away and buy himself a new 2003 Mustang to nurse his hurt feelings or will he declare martial law and get all totalitarian on us.  Time will tell, but it’s not looking like there’s going to be a whole lot of cool times in fast cars going on.
