Another silly Rumor

some rumors are almost believable.  Some rumors are totally outrageous.  This one is just plain silly.

The rumormonger in question has made the mistake in creating another “Bob Rumor”.  Those are so done it’s not even funny anymore.  Bob returned months ago and isn’t (never was actually as it turned out) gallivanting all over the place spending obscene amounts of money he couldn’t have had.

In any event, this rumormonger is insisting to anyone who will listen, that Bob is marrying the star of “Babes of Star Trek Gone Wild”.  It claims that this “has to be true” because Bob has allegedly found a wedding dj while shopping for neckties in a New Jersey bar.

First up…. Bob doesn’t wear neckties.  Secondly, he doesn’t drink an so would never be in a bar, New Jersey or otherwise.

True Or Not?

Still the rumor persists.  The one about yoga guy moving.  In the last few days the only things I’ve seen and heard about from the few reliable sources available don’t lend themselves to indicate one way or the other.

Until this morning.  This would be the second time in as many weeks that yoga guy was seen at the Nutjob Hills Diner (by me) having coffee with a well known local real estate agent going over what was obviously a real estate closing checklist, taking time to discuss various points.

Their meeting was concluded after about 45 minutes of this and him signing several legal documents and having the notary who was on break from the bank across the street put his stamp on them.

Still however there’s nothing conclusive.  yoga guy himself has said nothing to anybody about moving.

I just hope that for once rumors are true and he leaves soon.

forever.

So Much For Rumors

Yeah.  So there’s this rumor floating around that yoga guy is going to move.  Out of sheer morbid curiosity I checked it out and there were in fact some signs that he might in fact do this.

However today something happened to counter those signs.  A delivery truck pulled up to his house and the driver bought a box labeled “yamaha hs10w powered sub woofer” to his door.  That was bad enough (He’s got several already and they grind what’s left of my teeth when he uses them).  The driver went back to the truck to get another one . . . nineteen times.

I can’t help thinking that if he’s putting that much gear into his front yard setup (where else would he put it?) that he’s probably not going anywhere.

Why don’t I just ask him?  Because I don’t want to listen to him turn the thing into a 3 hour conversation / lecture about why it’s essential that he make as much ungodly noise as possible at four AM every morning while he does his exercises.

Exceptional Exceptions

I know that I’ve said many times before that I’ve no interest in most things musical nor do I have any interest in learning them.  I have to admit that there are a few notable exceptions to this.

One of them is an instrument that has proven capable of a quite amazing sound quality, the tenor saxophone.  In the past I’ve never really been a fan of what most people call “jazz”, though I’ve heard some sax players now and then that caught my ear as something I’d like to hear more of (though at the time I didn’t know that they were playing tenor saxophones, just that I liked the sound of whatever it was.).

The first time I remember actually making the connection between that particular sound and the instrument that it came from was when watching the TV series “Nightman”.  It featured the lead character being a tenor sax player when he wasn’t doing his superhero thing as “Nightman”.

Honest Mistake

Y’know, I’ve said it many times in the past.  I am not what you’d call a “music person”.  I mean I know what I like but that’s about it.  I don’t know or want to know the details of how it’s done or what all the technical aspects involved are.

So the other day I was at the local wall fart and some nice looking lady asked me where she could find a yamaha mixer, I naturally pointed her to the section of the store where kitchen appliances are displayed.

How was I supposed to know that this “mixer” is a thing that’s supposed to somehow combine sounds from several sources like microphones, electronic instruments and amplifiers for conventional instruments.

What can I say?  I’m much more cooking oriented and when you say “mixer” to me, I think of a kitchen appliance used to mix ingredients prior to cooking.
